The Halstead Dragon Softball season come to an end on May 17th. Senior, Hailey Kelley reflects on the season with these words, " I enjoyed playing with Brittley (Senior) and the other girls and I wish them the best of luck next year. To the coaches, I appreciate all the time you guys have spent with the whole team this season." The girls ended the season with a record of 7-14.

"Our girls showed a lot of growth this season! I'm excited to see how much we grow again next year. I think our girls are ready to take the next step and put the work in this summer. I am excited to see how competitive we can also be next year, " head coach Eileen Vlamis says about this years season.

When asked about what impact seniors Brittley Day and Hailey Kelley had on the team, coach Eileen Vlamis said, " Our seniors are definitely leaving big shoes to fill. Brittley dominated the outfield, literally covering all three positions at times. Hailey was someone that we could plug into any position that we needed her that day. Our defense is going to have to work hard to replace two very competitive players like that."
