Big Night for Dragon Athletes

The Halstead Track team competed at the Sedgwick Track Meet at Bethel College on the 27th. The Dragons took home a total of 8 gold medals including Mathew Schmill in the shot put, Conner Boyd in the 400m, both 4 x 400m teams, boys 4 x 800m, Aiden Allmon in the 3200m, Elena Flask in the 800m, and Zain Maknojia in the long jump.

The Halstead Track Team's next meet will be at Cheney, Friday the 30th.
Softball:
Halstead Softball drops two games to the Cheney Cardinals. Game 1: 0-17, Game 2: 2-16
Junior, Abby Church was hot on the plate with two RBI's.

Head coach Eileen Vlamis said, " I was proud of our first 6 innings in game one and our defense was the best in those innings but we still need to find a way to finish."

Baseball:
The Halstead Dragons lost the first game 4-12, and the second game 4-11.

Keenan McCune was on the mound for two innings and didn't allow any earned runs.

"We competed well all night, made a few mistakes that costs us some runs, but I was happy with the effort the boys gave." said head coach Danny Driskill about how the boys played.
Baseball and Softball will be competing against Nickerson on April 30th @ home.
